The Best Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles, According To Amazon Reviews

Stainless steel bottles are one of the best options when choosing a reusable bottle. This material does not react to any liquid, thus eliminating the health risk associated with the material.

For those who are looking for a resistant, portable and light container for their drinks, the stainless steel insulated water bottle is undoubtedly the best option.

A insulated water bottle can keep your beverage hot for 12 hours and ice cold for up to 24 hours up, allowing you to drink favorite warm coffee on the road or ice cold beer wine at outdoor activities.

Here we introduce the best stainless steel insulated water bottles, according to amazon reviews:

Takeya Originals Vacuum-Insulated Stainless-Steel Water Bottle

Several notions are being incorrectly perpetuated by many reviewers here with poor grasp of science. First of all, let me say that I own both this Takeya 40 oz thermos flask as well as a 40 oz Hydro Flask. These are comparable products with comparable build quality and performance in keeping fluids cool and delicious. In fact, I like the build quality on the small mouth cap of this more than the cap that comes standard with hydroflask. That alone is worth another $7 to $10. If you have a smaller mouth, you are going to appreciate drinking from this cap much more, trust me.

Now, to debunk junk tests that people have been posting in their reviews. If you place 5 cubes of ice in a 40 oz container, then seal it and check on the ice 12 hours later, OF COURSE it is melted. Why? Because you sealed almost 40 oz of room temperature air into the container that the ice has now equilibrated with. If you FILL the container with ice or ice water and then check it 12 hours later, it will be closer to the same temp and structure inside the flask than if you had only partially filled it. The performance level is almost identical to the hydro flask brand but a little weaker since hydroflask has 30% more steel and is 5oz heavier (17oz to 12oz) as a result. As someone who finishes my drink within the workday period and not in 24 hours, I find that the performance is comparable to the Hydro Flask in this regard and that the less weight is actually a benefit.

Second, placing your flask in the fridge and finding that ice you left inside of it melted the next day does not show a technological failure but actually a SUCCESS. Once again, if you sealed room temperature air and some ice into the container, then place it in the fridge, the inside environment was so well sealed from the outside coolness of the fridge that the ice equilibrated to melt. Thermoses are not meant to “enhance” the cooling effect of a fridge. A thermos will only to slow down rate of reaching temperature equilibrium with the outside environment.

In summary, if you want to get maximum performance of cooling retention from a thermo flask or hydro flask, try to FILL the container with cold or iced fluid at the beginning of your day. Technology only makes our lives easier when we actually understand how to utilize it.

The Takeya Thermo Flask with small mouth spout that opens and closes with a single turn of the top is one of the best values I have found for this type of product.

Contigo AUTOSPOUT Straw Ashland Chill Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I bought this to replace my camelback Eddy stainless steel water bottle as camelback as discontinued the replacement lids.
I was looking for a stainless steel, daily use, mouth part protected, sipping straw water bottle and it had to be leak proof — Keep it in the same backpack as your laptop leak proof.
This contigo water bottle is all that and more and I will not be going back to camelback.
1st it’s leak proof – and the lock means I don’t need to worry about it opening itself.
2nd it’s easy to keep clean — I don’t care if contigo doesn’t consider the body dishwasher safe – I wash it once every 2 weeks and haven’t had a problem.
3rd it’s easy to drink out of – one handed while running I can trust to sip without getting water everywhere and I can sip out all 20 oz
4th it’s stainless steel – not only do I think stainless steel looks more classy, it’s less likely then plastic to pick up weird flavors and when you drop down concrete stairs, the stainless steel bottle will dent or scratch not shatter into a million pieces.

Best Coldest Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Best overall insulated water bottle: S'well water bottle 17 oz.

S’well Stainless Steel Water Bottle – 17 Fl Oz

I am all about value. I want to get my money worth and if I’m going to spend more than $20 on a water bottle, then it better be more than good- it better be great! With that being said- having a product that lasts and I don’t have to frequently replace is also very important to me. I don’t want to buy a bunch of random items that will end up in a landfill.

This product is worth the investment to me. It’s a little pricey, but I anticipate if it lasting at least 10 years. If you look at how much you will save in bottles water costs and the amount of plastic you keep out of landfills then it is beyond worth it!

I actually bought an off brand bottle of similar style what was also stainless steel just to see if the swell brand was worth the extra costs.

The off brand bottle faded with less than three months of use. It also developed small rust spots on the inside liner. My swell bottle has not faded and has not developed rust. I have had them both the same amount of time. I highly recommend spending the extra money on the name brand swell bottle due to the better quality.

Also, I am pretty sensitive on smells, tastes. The off brand left my water with a metallic taste. The swell bottle does not make the water taste like anything but plain water…. no metallic taste!

Save a bottle from being thrown in a landfill and just buy the right one the first time! I will always buy the swell bottle in the future so I know I’m not risking buying a worthless bottle that ended up trash.

Best Plastic Free Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Best Plastic Free insulated water bottle:Klean Kanteen vacuum insulated water bottle, TKPro

Klean Kanteen TKPro Water Bottle

Based upon the previous reviews, I was concerned with there being a dent in my Kanteen. Luckily, it arrived on time and in perfect condition.

I dinged this seller one star because their pictures should accurately portray how ginormous this Kanteen is.

The product itself is constructed with the quality I’ve come to love with Klear Kanteen’s products. I don’t understand why they crafted this particular item to be so large when 33oz isn’t that much, but I’ll keep it anyway. It’s just not what I was expecting and will not fit anywhere with any degree of practicality other than the fridge for storage.

Their single-walled growler is 64 oz and is much smaller. I would’ve expected better in this design.

Dinging the seller only 1 Star in this instance is fair considering they could’ve posted supporting images which showed the ginormityn of the product (like I did). Perhaps this post will help others make a more informed decision and the seller will post better pictures which portray accuracy in advertising their products.

Best Durable Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Best durable insulated water bottle: Yeti rambler water bottle 26 oz.

YETI Rambler 26 oz Bottle, Vacuum Insulated

I stream and it’s always blazing hot in here – around 97 degrees, sometimes going up to 103 degrees… IN MY ROOM — that is air conditioned lol. Anyway I had been using a plastic container for the last few months for water, iced tea, etc to stay hydrated and cool. Unfortunately with my plastic bottle it would get warm in about 20 minutes, my outside would sweat like crazy and it wasn’t really fun drinking anything.

Suddenly a few days ago a lighting bolt hit me. Not like literally, but figuratively, and I remembered that my cousin told me about Yeti but I didn’t really have the money for one. Well, now I did so I went ahead and bought one with the chug cap that already comes with it – I was told by said cousin that that would make it better and more enjoyable.

I received mine yesterday, washed it and used it today. So here is a very lengthy review. If you are on the fence, hopefully I can persuade you to taking the plunge and getting one.

Durability/Quality: Mind you I sit in my room and stream. I’m not going on treks, climbing mountains or dinging this around in my truck. But, from the feel, look and weight of the bottle – I have a feeling I am going to have this for a long time and that it’s going to stand up to the test of time. It’s heavy first off. There is some real weight to it. Second off, just by putting it in your hands, you can tell it’s super sturdy and durable.

Sweating vs Not Sweating: This does not sweat at all. Just to be a pain in the butt I did two tests. One test in my room with iced tea. One test outside in the 98 degree weather with iced tea. I opened it each time regularly. No. Sweat. Not even a trickle. Sweating is annoying (for me) because A) It makes the bottle slide out of your hands. B) All that extra condensation going all over my controller, my table and ME was pretty annoying. I am sure there is also some scientific reason people hate it too, but I’m not a scientist, just a gamer. (And a writer from this annoyingly long, but detailed review lol)

Temperature: The really weird thing for me was picking this up and feeling no temperature on the outside of the bottle. It didn’t feel hot or cold. It felt like when I pulled it out of the box. But the temperature on the inside? Ice Cold. I actually placed iced tea in it for 7 hours, regularly drinking (above) and at the 7th hour I actually got a brain freeze from it being so cold. Dare I say that the iced tea was COLDER after 7 hours in the Yeti than it was from the fridge! It’s pretty insane.

Extras:

– I like the chug cap, it definitely makes everything easier
– Everything included is dishwasher safe
– I love the color. My brand colors are grey, black, white and BLUE. My Yeti is blue :o)
– I also really like the handle.
– Price really wasn’t bad once you add in all the benefits.

Best Travel Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Best sports insulated water bottle: Hydro Flask flex cap water bottle 21 oz.

Hydro Flask Water Bottle – Standard Mouth Flex Lid

I really like the Hydro flasks and I have a few of them, for any occasion.
There’s however a few pro’s and con’s with these bottles.

Pros
Double Insulated – Keeps your water cold up to 24 hours
Wide mouth / different types of lids are available
Leak proof
Handle strap – Easy to carry by hand anywhere
Stainless steel – Haven’t noticed any rust inside or outside, so far!
Sleek and beautiful design + Slip free grip / Powder Coating
No condensation on the outside due to great Insulation
Lifetime Warranty

Cons
If not careful, it can get scratches and dents
Have to be hand washed / No dishwasher
Handle strap will most likely wear out overtime

The cons are nothing compared to the pros, however I personally like my bottles to last a lifetime, so I always find myself a sleeve to make sure it doesn’t get any dents, or gets damaged over time.
After all it’s a quite expensive bottle..

Corkcicle Canteen – Water Bottle & Thermos – Triple Insulated Stainless Steel

When the wife is happy, the whole damn universe is happy. She says the thermos is perfect. She likes the color, the non-slip grip and most of all, she puts 6 ice cubes in the bottle and it last all day. Like I said, when the wife is happy, the whole universe is happy. Amen.

Best Spout Drink Wide Mouth Water Bottle

CamelBak Chute Mag Water Bottle, Insulated Stainless Steel

I can’t believe this product gets so many bad reviews for the fact that it’s not dishwasher safe. Who cares! It takes two seconds to wash the bottle. The fact that it literally keeps my water ice cold (without any ice) for hours is amazing to me. The 20oz is a great size, slim and not bulky yet large enough to hold a good amount. It’s stylish, sharp looking and functions as you would expect! Love the magnetic lid. It’s a well made bottle that has exceeded my expectations right off the bat.

I love these bottles! This is my second 20oz (The first is still in perfect condition, I just wanted the cool new lid) and I just ordered the 32 oz which will be the perfect in between size for when I need more hydration.
I agree it’s not cool that the description says dishwasher safe but then the bottom of the bottle says it is not. I can handle hand washing my bottles so I am okay with that.

*Update -2 stars.. The cap went from a half twist to a full 360° twist to get it off. Huge fail in my opinion
*2nd Update – Back to 5 stars. You get used to the new lid. I love it.

Best Sip Drink Insulated Water Bottle

Best sip drink insulated water bottle

Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Straw

Full disclaimer, I was targeted on Facebook to buy this lol. They know I am a sucker for big insulated water bottles!!
No I was not paid to review this lol.
But any hoot. I absolutely am so happy that I bought this!
First off, I thought the sky something color was grey. Yeah no. The lid is! But the actual bottle is not. The bottle is white. I am normally a black or grey/charcoal kind of person. So this is out of my comfort zone. However, I am drawing on the outside of it with sharpie to make it my own. HIGHLY recommend it!
I got the 32oz version. No it does not have that hour glass shape like the 24oz has; BUT the carried lid part works JUST FINE! And my small hands can grip it just fine!
Okay this insulation is CRAZYYYY!! My ice stays in tack for a good 20 hours!! I left my water bottle in my hot car for 3 hours one day on accident. THE ICE WAS STILL THERE!!!!!!!! And it is nothing like Camelback water bottle where you lose space to insulation. I looked in and I swear the insulation must be thin. But its literally magic!!!
So on to the mouth piece. The very first sip was weird can’t lie. But I learned quickly lol. The first small hole allows you to suck up the water without tilting it (or biting it like other water bottles do). The second bigger opening allows for a bigger sip that you have to tilt the water bottle for. At first I thought it was weird. But then I realized I can get ice through that hole to eat (I love eating ice). And when I am in a hurry, I can put put water through that hole without taking the lid off.

10/10! Absolutely love it! My husband can use it at his outdoor construction job!

Update: I just bought a SECOND one because I am just that obsessed with this bottle!!
